Homer Police
April 17
A caller at 9:04 a.m. reported people setting up camp in a prohibited area at Bishop’s Beach. Police responded.
A caller at 9:48 a.m. reported a person making gestures at passing vehicles on the Sterling Highway.
A caller at 1:20 p.m. reported someone stole a vehicle plate at a Freight Dock Road address.
A caller at 3:43 p.m. reported a possible missing adult and asked police to do a welfare check.
A caller at 7:30 p.m. made a “report every dangerous driver immediately” complaint that a person driving on Kachemak Way hit her fence and drove off. At 7:35 p.m. multiple people made 911 calls reporting the same vehicle and driver involved in a car crash with injuries on Main Street.
A caller from another agency at 6:55 p.m. asked for police assistance on the Spit. Police responded, made contact with the parties involved and provided transport.
A caller at 9:59 p.m. asked police to do a welfare check on a person at a Main Street address. Police responded and found all was OK.
April 18
A caller at 5:43 a.m. asked to speak to police about a current case. An officer provided options to the caller.
A caller at 6:54 a.m. asked police for help in getting in touch with a person in the area.
Police at 9:57 a.m. assisted the fire department in responding to an incident at a Rangeview Avenue address.
A person at 1:31 p.m. came by the police station to report a theft.
A person at 4:12 p.m. turned in found property at the station. Police contacted the registered owner and the property was returned.
A caller at 7:04 p.m. reported a dead eagle on the Spit. Police contacted the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
April 19
A caller at 10:52 a.m. made a REDDI complaint of a driver on Kachemak Drive. Police contacted the suspect and determined there was no impairment.
A caller at 12:57 p.m. reported a suspicious man at a Lake Street address. Police responded.
A person at 5:14 p.m. came to the station with found drug paraphernalia.
A caller at 7:01 p.m. asked police to do a welfare check on a person at a Ben Walters Lane address. Police responded and found the request was unfounded.
A caller at 8:37 p.m. reported a disruptive patient at the hospital. Police responded and housed the patient at the jail.
April 20
A caller at 9:56 a.m. asked police to do a welfare check on a man under a boardwalk near Mile 3.6 Homer Spit Road. Police contacted the man and found all was OK.
A man at 11:44 a.m. reported suspicious circumstances at a Sterling Highway address.
A caller at 12:29 p.m. reported a shoplifter in custody at a Lake Street business. Police responded and issued a summons of fourth-degree theft to a 49-year-old woman.
A caller at 5:13 p.m. reported a person previously issued a trespass notice back at a Main Street address. Police provided the person transportation to another location.
April 21
A caller at 10:53 a.m. reported a shoplifter at a Sterling Highway store. Police issued a trespass notice to a woman.
A caller at 12:02 p.m. reported a temporary restraining order violation.
A caller at 4:23 p.m. reported a shoplifter at a Lake Street store. Police responded and arrested a 30-year-old woman for fourth-degree theft, resisting arrest and reckless endangerment.
A caller at 4:23 p.m. reported a camping violation on the Spit.
April 22
A person made a 911 call from a Bartlett Street address but was uncooperative. Police also heard a disturbance in the background. Police responded.
A caller at 12:10 p.m. reported a suspicious man sitting in a vehicle at Mariner Park who yelled obscenities at the caller and her friends. Police responded and found the man had left the area.
A caller at 1:50 p.m. reported a person driving a truck on the Mariner Park beach heading toward the sea wall and carrying pallets. An officer was advised. At 8:49 p.m. a caller reported seeing a large fire on the beach from her Bay Avenue home.
Several people at 9:42 p.m. made 911 calls of a driver who hit a moose on the Sterling Highway. Police responded.
A caller at 10:40 p.m. reported people trespassing on vacant property on Horizon Court. Police contacted juveniles.
A caller at 11:10 p.m. reported a theft from a Sterling Highway address.
April 23
A caller at 9:14 a.m. asked that a message be passed on to a family member not heard from in a while. Police advised the family member.
A caller at 12:29 p.m. asked for extra patrols after a theft from a Kachemak Way yard.
A caller at 1 p.m. reported losing a purse.
A caller at 2:16 p.m. reported a suspicious vehicle at a Mountain View Avenue address. Police responded.
Police at 3:39 p.m. contacted a person driving on East End Road and issued a citation for driving while license suspended.
A caller at 3:52 p.m. reported a possible wanted subject at a Pioneer Avenue address. Police responded.
A caller at 5 p.m. reported an ongoing temporary restraining order violation.
Police at 6:56 p.m. did a probations search of a 44-year-old man at a Kachemak Drive address. Police issued a summons for drug possession.
A person at 7:37 p.m. made a 911 call of a driver speeding and passing unsafely on Kachemak Drive. Police were to be on the lookout for the suspect driver.
A caller at 9:58 p.m. asked that people be issued trespass notices from a Bunnell Avenue address.
Troopers
April 16
Alaska State Troopers at 6:58 p.m. made a traffic stop on a driver near Safeway on the Sterling Highway. Troopers did a vehicle search and said during the search a 42-year-old man dropped a container and kicked it under the car. Troopers said the container had heroin. Troopers arrested the man for drug possession. At the jail troopers found more controlled substances, and after getting a search warrant, also found narcotics in the vehicle.

Judgments
William T. Pawliski, 27, charges dismissed, second-degree indecent exposure. He pleaded guilty to two other counts of second-degree indecent exposure. He was sentenced to 10 days in jail with 10 days suspended on both counts and fined $2,500 with $1,700 suspended on both counts; ordered to perform 80 hours of community work service at the rate of $10 an hour to satisfy unpaid fine; ordered to pay $50 for a Police Training surcharge and a $100 suspended jail surcharge; ordered to obtain a mental health evaluation and provided quarterly reports to the court; ordered not to have contact with his victims and Black Water Bend Espresso; and was placed on probation for one year.
Criminal Court
Justin R. Apple, 38, first-degree vehicle theft, failure to stop at the direction of a peace officer, reckless driving and vehicle theft, all felonies; driving under the influence.
Clinton A. Bush, 42, tampering with physical evidence, a felony; fourth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance, two counts; promoting contraband.
