An agency at 9:46 a.m. reported a disoriented man had walked out of acute care on Bartlett Street. An officer went to the area, contacted the man and gave him transportation.
A caller at 10:55 a.m. reported a vehicle collision on West Pioneer Avenue that had caused damage and was in the roadway. Officers responded and completed an accident report.
A caller at 11:40 a.m. requested an officer confirm the location of a vehicle on the Sterling Highway. An officer went to the scene to assist.
A caller at 12:13 p.m. requested assistance walking up his driveway on Fireweed Avenue as he was handicapped. An officer responded to assist but the man was already inside when the officer got there.
A caller at 2:13 p.m. reported possible drugs at East Fairview Avenue. An officer responded.
A caller at 4:44 p.m. reported that her minor son fled from her while she was trying to pick him up at Lake Street. Officers located the minor and reunited him with the parent.

An officer at 10:54 a.m. made a security check at Main Street and Bunnell Avenue and contacted a man who was on private property.
A caller at 11:27 a.m. reported a vehicle was dropping debris and trash along the road at Pioneer Avenue and the Homer Bypass. An officer removed the debris from the road.
The Animal Control Office at 11:47 a.m. requested officer assistance with a person and his dogs at Ben Walters Lane and Nielson Circle. An officer went to the scene.
A caller at 12:48 p.m. reported a tenant causing a disturbance at his building on Main Street, bothering other tenants during the night. An officer advised the caller of his options.
A caller at 2:27 p.m. reported possible minor runaways on the Sterling Highway. An officer was advised and the minors returned home.
A caller at 4:25 p.m. reported a woman in a local business on Greatland Street who was refusing to leave. Officers responded to contact the woman, and she was given a trespass notice to keep her from the building.
A caller at 5:44 p.m. reported a disabled vehicle at Mile 167-168 Sterling Highway with its hood up. An officer went to the scene and advised the Alaska State Troopers.
An officer at 7:25 p.m. served a person with a summons on Heath Street.

Multipel callers at 7:28 a.m. reported a vehicle parked in the roadway with its hazard lights on at East Hill Road and East End Road. An officer went to the scene and a good Samaritan pulled the vehicle from the roadway.
A caller at 7:45 a.m. reported a vehicle in the roadway on Spit Road that was obstructing traffic. Officers were not able to contact the owner and flares were deployed.
An agency at 11:30 a.m. requested assistance with a man in the area of Tamara Street. Officers responded to assist.
A caller at 2:05 p.m. reported getting a harassing message on Heath Street. The caller spoke with an officer about their options.
An agency at 6:08 p.m. reported a motor vehicle collision on East End Road. An officer went to the location.

An officer at 7:53 a.m. warned a driver for speeding in a school zone on East End Road.
A caller at 7:59 a.m. requested an officer to perform a civil standby on Grubstake Avenue. An officer responded.
An agency at 2:23 p.m. “made a report of harm” in the Homer area.
A caller at 4:34 p.m. reported a disabled vehicle at Lake Street and East Pioneer Avenue. An officer went to the scene. The vehicle was removed from the roadway.
Jan. 19
A caller at an unknown time reported a noise complaint on Mattox Road. Officers went to the area.
An officer at 1:15 a.m. spoke with a person who went to the police station.
An officer at 3:36 a.m. contacted a suspicious vehicle on Spit Road.
A business at 10:37 a.m. reported a burglary after the fact that had happened on East End Road. An officer went to the scene.
A caller at 12:26 p.m. reported a domestic disturbance on Elderberry Court. An officer went to the scene.
A caller at 3:08 p.m. reported people riding off-road vehicles on the roadway on Early Spring Street. An officer went to the scene.
A caller at 8:33 p.m. reported hearing possible gunshots in the area of Jennifer Place and Hillside Place. An officer was advised. A second caller reported fireworks in the same area.
Jan. 20
A caller at 9:04 a.m. on East End Road stated that he needed “to go to jail.” An officer went to the scene.
A caller at 7:06 p.m. reported finding a dog at East Hill Road and Larkspur Court. An officer met the caller at the animal shelter and the registered owner later claimed the dog.
A caller at 7:33 p.m. reported a dog running in the roadway at East Hill Road and Rosebud Court. An officer went to the area and the dog was taken to the shelter. The owner later claimed the dog.
A caller at 7:39 p.m. reported an electronic monitoring alter on Early Spring Street. An officer went to the home and found everything was OK.
A caller at 8:07 p.m. made a Report Every Dangerous Driver Immediately (REDDI) report on a driver at East End Road and Kachemak Drive. An officer contacted the driver and didn’t detect any impairment.
A caller at 8:24 p.m. reported a man “passed out” in a snowbank at Main Street and Fairview Avenue. Officers responded but the man was gone when they got there.
Troopers
Jan. 16
Alaska State Troopers were notified of an incident where the Nanwalek Head Start building had been damaged on Jan. 15, the previous day. An investigation showed a 31-year-old Nanwalek woman, a 38-year-old Nanwalek woman, and another adult female had gone into the Nanwalek Head Start building without permission. The first two women were cited for trespassing and trespass charges are pending against the third female. The investigation is ongoing and other charges are possible.
Jan. 18
Alaska State Troopers from Soldotna at 7:18 p.m. responded to Mile 122, Sterling Highway to a report of a single vehicle roll over involving a silver 2003 Dodge Durango. Upon arrival the driver was identified as a 20-year-old Anchor Point woman. Investigation revealed she was attempting to pass two other vehicles on icy roads and lost control of her vehicle. Her vehicle went off the roadway and rolled several times. No injuries were reported by the woman or her passenger. Both parties reported to have been wearing seatbelts and airbags were not deployed. The woman was issued citations for no insurance and basic speed. The vehicle was totaled and ASAP Towing responded and took possession of the vehicle.
Jan. 21
Alaska State Troopers at approximately 2:29 p.m. responded to a residence in Ninilchik for a death investigation. Investigation revealed a 64-year-old Ninilchik man was deceased of what appeared to be natural causes. No foul play is suspected at this time. Next of kin has been notified.
