Dorothy Charmain (Smith) Johnson, age 87, died at home in Homer, Alaska on Aug. 3, 2018.
She passed away surrounded by her family.
She was born in Santa Monica on July 18, 1931 to Alfred and Doris (Hamilton) Smith. Dorothy has been a residence of Alaska since 1967, living in Anchorage, Point McKenzie and Homer.
She was a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Dorothy was an avid artist.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Elvin (Bud) Johnson; parents, Alfred and Doris Smith; and her brother, Alfred (Joe) Smith.
She leaves her daughters, Patty (Ed) McKenna, Pam (Ed) Rehder and Elizabeth (Cody) Mishler; son’s, Ezra (Kimberly) Johnson, Ard (Marta) Johnson, Jason (Angie) Johnson, Arn (Kathy) Johnson and Lawrin (Susanne) Johnson; 27 grandchildren; 70 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Dorothy will be greatly missed. Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday Aug. 8, 2018, at Anchor Point Cemetery.
