Dec. 7

Alaska State Troopers received a “report every dangerous driver immediately” complaint of a person driving erratically in a 1995 Ford F150 pickup truck heading south on the Sterling Highway near Mile 149 in Anchor Point. Troopers found the suspect truck and said the driver was speeding and crossed into the opposite lane. Troopers stopped the driver, a 57-year-old Homer man, and said an investigation showed the man was under the influence of alcohol and drugs. Troopers arrested him and took him to the Homer Jail.

Dec. 9

Troopers at 8:10 a.m. went to a car crash on Nikolaevsk Road in Nikolaevsk. Troopers said a 16-year-old girl driving a 1992 Subaru Legacy tried to round a curve while at an unsafe speed, left the road and rolled her car. The girl wore her seatbelt and had minor injuries. Damage to the car was estimated at $2,000.

Troopers received a report of nonconsensual sex involving a juvenile male and female. Troopers said the girl was interviewed at South Peninsula Haven House and disclosed the nonconsensual sexual encounter. Troopers contacted the boy and alleged he had nonconsensual sex with the girl. Troopers arrested the boy for second-degree sexual assault and took him to the Kenai Youth Facility.

Dec. 12

Troopers at 7 p.m. contacted a 39-year-old Anchor Point woman at her Anchor Point home. Troopers arrested her on an outstanding warrant for failure to comply with conditions of probation on an original charge of driving under the influence. She was taken to the Homer Jail.
