Izzy says, “I’m a young girl with lots to learn about the world. I arrived at the shelter with my mom as a stray, so the shelter folks don’t know much about my background. But that’s OK, because I believe in looking towards the future. I am learning to trust people and enjoy their attention.”

To adopt a pet, call or stop by the animal shelter across from the Public Works Department off the Sterling Highway. The shelter is open from noon-7 p.m. Tuesday, noon-5 p.m. Wednesday-Friday, and 11 a.m.-4 pm. Saturday-Sunday. Closed Mondays. For more information, call 235-3141.
