On behalf of the Homer High School Mariner athletic programs — coaches,  parents and athletes — we would like to express our genuine thanks to the professional staff and volunteers at Homer Medical Center who once again  donated their time and facility to provide annual sports physicals for our kids.

On Saturday, Aug. 2, the clinic was open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. during which time nearly 100 student athletes were able to complete required exams to participate in school sports programs this year. A $10 suggested donation was generously given right back to the HHS Booster Club to distribute to the funding of athletic programs. What an amazing service we don’t take for granted in this state where athletic participation and travel is such a huge expense and commitment. We are once again so blessed by this community and the rallying support for our high school programs and student athletes.
