Homer’s American Legion Auxiliary would like to thank everyone who particpated in our Memorial Day Poppy Project. You made it our very best year ever so far. Thanks to Bob Malone and staff at Safeway for hosting our fundraising tables.  And thanks to the many other businesses around town that displayed our poppy cans. And we can’t forget the bartenders at Kharacters, Salty Dog, American Legion and Down East who held drinks hostage until a poppy donation was made.

But most of all, we must thank you, our donors for being so very, very generous. We will put your donations to good use supporting veterans’ programs on the lower peninsula as well as trying to brighten the day for enlisted men and women from the community.
