Cody Mitchell De Vaney, 17, died Sept. 30, 2012. Services will be held 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 2821 East End Road (Mile 2.5 East End Road) with a graveside prayer to follow. A potluck dinner will then be held back at the church at 6 p.m. where everyone who has been touched by Cody can share their thoughts and love.
Our beautiful son, brother, grandson, uncle and friend has passed on into the arms of his Savior, Jesus Christ. He will be loved eternally and missed until the day we are reunited and can hold him in our arms again, his family said. We look forward to the day when we will meet Cody again and be able to wrap him in the arms of our love. Cody, we love you. God be with you til we meet again.
Cody Mitchell De Vaney was born Sept. 16, 1995. He had a heart of gold and always had a very loving and tender heart. Cody was passionate about cars. He helped build and race two stock cars with his dad, brothers and grandpa. He was looking forward to attending a vocational college where he could continue his automotive passion. He also loved the Alaska outdoors where he could enjoy his second passion, snowboarding.
Codys parents, Laura and Darren; brothers and sisters, Kyle, Lyssa, Dean and Brooke; sister and brother-in-law Heidi and Aaron, niece; Skye; grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends are heart broken.
