State Trooper Reports

Sept. 17

Alaska State Troopers at 9:25 p.m. went to the Anchor River for a report of a male attempting to sell or trade marijuana for cigarettes and then refusing to leave. Troopers got a description of the man and the car he was seen entering. Troopers found the car as it turned onto the Sterling Highway from the Old Sterling Highway. Troopers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and identified one of the passengers as a 29-year-old Nikolaevsk man. The man said he had tried to sell or trade marijuana for cigarettes. Troopers said they found just under an ounce of marijuana on the man. They arrested him for sixth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance and a probation violation. Troopers also arrested another passenger, a 27-year-old Homer man, on a warrant for an original charge of fourth-degree theft. 

Sept. 18

Troopers at 8:50 a.m. contacted a 25-year-old Homer woman at her home and arrested her for violating conditions of release and probation violation.
