Frank Andrew Hatfield, 59, died suddenly Sept. 4, 2013. Born Aug. 5, 1954, Frank grew up in Homer. After working on the Alaska Pipeline, he worked for Homer Electric Association as his father, Fred, and brother, John, had done. He moved to Washington state in 1984. It was there he met the love of his life, Sandy. Their son, Bruce, came along shortly after that and completed their family. After moving to North Carolina, Frank began a career making use of his loving and caring spirit, working for Life Span. His clients became his second family. His devotion to them was as strong as his devotion was to his wife, son, and brother and sisters.
His love of adventure led him and Sandy to traveling the highways on their motorcycle.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ann; his father, Fred; his brother, John; his sister, Sharon; his brother-in-law Tommy; and his niece, Jennifer; along with too many dear friends that went before him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sandy; his son, Bruce; his sisters, Patty, Nancy and Cathy; and many nieces and nephews.
