A woman at 8:45 a.m. reported a stolen car. The car was located later.
A woman at 8:58 a.m. reported contents of her wallet stolen from her unlocked car on the Spit. The woman said she later found some of the items in a trash can.
A woman at 9:26 a.m. reported a driver in a tractor-trailer came up on the sidewalk on Pioneer Avenue and hit a dog being walked by a woman. The woman and the dog left the scene.
A woman at 10:31 a.m. reported her elderly mother’s Social Security number and birth date are being used fraudulently out of state.
A woman at 11:08 a.m. reported losing an iPhone on Pioneer Avenue.
A man at 2:35 p.m. reported being harassed by an unknown woman who took his photo while he was driving on Main Street.
A man at 4:20 p.m. asked for police assistance in issuing a trespass notice and evicting a person from a Ternview Place address.
A Public Works employee at 3:31 p.m. reported a car hit a fire hydrant on West Hill Road.
A person at 4:54 p.m. made a 911 call of a car crash with injuries near Mile 168.5 Sterling Highway. Police and medics responded.
A man at 5:25 p.m. reported a theft in progress at a Ternview Place address. Officers were not available at the time. The caller later reported the theft stopped upon his arrival and nothing was taken.
A woman at 11:06 p.m. reported hearing two people arguing in the Ben Walters Lane area but said she could not see them. Police responded and determined the argument was verbal only and no crime had happened.
Sept. 30
A person at 1:42 a.m. reported an argument with a family member at a Sabrina Road address. Police responded but could not find the suspect.
A man at 5:15 p.m. reported receiving numerous unwanted phone calls from an estranged family member. Police advised the man of his options.
An employee at 6:24 p.m. reported a male shoplifter fleeing a Lake Street store.
Oct. 1
A caller at 10:26 a.m. reported people driving in a car on Pioneer Avenue who appeared to be using marijuana.
A man at 11:30 a.m. reported men taking items from an abandoned residence on Rainbow Court. Police responded and determined the men were authorized to be there by a bank. All was OK.
A man at 4:17 p.m. reported drivers in two cars speeding and spinning brodies in the road on the Spit. Police contacted one car and were on the lookout for the other.
An employee at 5:39 p.m. reported video showed a shoplifter at a Lake Street store.
A man at 5:51 p.m. reported a young injured moose on Kachemak Drive. Police couldn’t find the moose.
A caller at 7:25 p.m. reported being concerned for children driving an all-terrain vehicle on Ocean Drive Loop.
Oct. 2
A city employee at 8:50 a.m. asked police to do a welfare check on a man camping at Bishop’s Beach. Police responded and found the man was OK.
A man at 10:35 a.m. made a 911 call of people squatting on his fishing boat at the harbor. He said another man threatened him. Police responded and issued a summons to a 39-year-old man for fifth-degree criminal mischief.
A man at 11:45 a.m. reported an adult riding on the back of an ATV with two small children in front in the Ocean Drive Loop area. Police responded but couldn’t find the ATV riders.
A woman at 12:25 p.m. reported a person with a no-contact order tried to contact here. Police responded and determined a restraining order was not in effect and advised the woman to apply for an order.
A employee at 4:45 p.m. reported a shoplifter at an East End Road store.
A man at 4:40 p.m. reported seeing young people smoking marijuana at Ben Walters Park.
A man at 4:45 p.m. reported losing a black tool bag with tools on the Sterling Highway.
A security company at 9:40 p.m. reported a burglary alarm at a Highland Avenue address. Police responded and saw damage to a front door but did not see anyone inside or anything that appeared to have been taken.
Oct. 3
Police at 9:42 a.m. did a drug investigation.
A caller at 12:48 p.m. asked police to do a welfare check on a person at a Kramer Lane address. All was OK.
A caller at 3:01 p.m. reported an aggressive dog in the Mountainview Drive area. Police could not find the dog and referred the case to the animal control officer.
A caller at 4:18 p.m. reported finding a baggie with an unidentified pill inside at a Fairview Avenue address.
Police at 7:59 p.m. investigated suspicious activity at a Waddell Street address.
Oct. 4
A woman at 4:15 p.m. asked police to do a welfare check on a relative who lives out of state. Police referred the woman to the Alaska State Troopers.
A caller at 10:34 p.m. reported a loud party at an Ocean Drive Loop home. Police responded.
A caller at 11:56 p.m. complained of loud music and noise from a Pioneer Avenue bar. Police responded.
Oct. 5
Police at 1:05 a.m. did a security check of Bishop’s Beach.
Police at 2:55 a.m. contacted an 18-year-old man driving on the Sterling Highway and issued him a summons for driving in violation of instructional permit and not having insurance.
Police at 10:39 a.m. contacted a 43-year-old woman driving on Fairview Avenue and issued her a summons for driving while license suspended.
A caller at 10:38 a.m. reported an expected death at home of a 99-year-old woman at a Race Road address.
A caller at 6:59 p.m. reported dangerous driving by a person on an all-terrain vehicle on Sprucewood Drive.
Oct. 5
A caller at 7:15 a.m. reported a person walking around inside a closed business with lights off on Ocean Drive. Police responded and determined an employee was inside.
