Saturday, April 28 — Safe Kids Fair and Bike Rodeo. This annual event will take place on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Homer High School. The Bike Rodeo is from 10 a.m. to 1 pm.
Scholarships:
The University of Alaska system is offering an academic scholarship of $1,500 per semester for four years, which will be awarded to one applicant who is enrolled as an undergraduate student and who plans to pursue a four-year degree in education.
The scholarship is open to any incoming undergraduate student who plans to study teaching at one of UA’s three campuses.
The application period is now open and the deadline is May 1.
