Police at 5:53 p.m. arrested a man on an outstanding warrant.

A man at 11:28 a.m. reported vandalism at a Fairview Avenue address.

May 12

A caller at 3:51 p.m. reported a man hit children in the back of the head at a Sterling Highway address.

A caller at 9:14 p.m. reported finding a lost dog on Heath Street. Police took the dog to the animal shelter.

May 13

A caller at 9:48 a.m. reported a car-bicyclist collision on the Spit.

A woman at 5 p.m. reported missing or stolen pets from a Seaview Circle home. Police advised the woman to contact the animal shelter.

A caller at 7:28 p.m. reported a car crash with damage only at a Main Street parking lot.

A caller at 3:10 p.m. reported yelling coming from a speeding car on Grubstake Avenue. Police responded and found all was OK.

A caller at 5:51 p.m. reported a person on property on the Sterling Highway who had been given a lifetime trespass notice from the property. Police arrested a 36-year-old man for trespassing.

May 14

Police at 9:41 a.m. issued a summons to a 27-year-old man for driving while license revoked and not having insurance after contacting him on Ocean Drive.

A woman at 12:54 p.m. made a 911 call that her son was missing.

A woman at 1:30 p.m. reported a car pulled into her East End Road driveway and someone took her dog. Police advised the woman to contact the animal shelter. The woman found her dog at the animal shelter.

May 15

A caller at 3:49 a.m. reported a porcupine caught in a trap at a Main Street address. Police responded and notified the Alaska Department of Fish and Game.

A caller at 9:19 a.m. reported people camping on their Ocean Drive property. Police responded and told the campers to move along.

A person at 3:19 p.m. made a 911 call of a man needing assistance on Pennock Street. Police responded.

A man at 6:27 p.m. reported a phone scam.

A caller at 9:01 p.m. reported finding a kitten on the side of Kachemak Drive. The caller said she would take care of the kitten until the animal shelter opened in the morning.

A callert at 9:43 p.m. asked police to do a welfare check on a mother and baby at a Sterling Highway address. Police responded.

May 16

A caller at 12:05 a.m. asked police to do a welfare check on a family member. Police were to be on the lookout for the person.

Police at 2:58 a.m. made a traffic stop on a car on East End Road and gave a minor consuming alcohol warning to a passenger.

A person at 3:20 a.m. reported a domestic dispute. Police arrested a 43-year-old woman for assault and driving while license revoked.

A caller at 8:47 a.m. asked for help from an officer at a Spit address. Police responded.

A caller at 11:09 a.m. reported shoplifters at an East End Road business.

Police at 12:27 p.m. arrested a 35-year-old man for failure to provide proof of insurance.

A woman at 2:20 p.m. made a 911 call that her landlord assaulted her boyfriend at a Fairview Avenue address. Police responded and provided the man transportation to the hospital.

A person at 3:37 p.m. made a 911 call that two small children were left unattended in a car parked at a Sterling Highway address. Police responded and found all was OK.

A caller at 4:06 p.m. reported a driver in an old black car was speeding on Kachemak Way and dropped people off in her driveway. Police responded and told the people to leave the area.

A woman at 8:50 p.m. reported a possible fraudulent letter.

May 17

Police at 12:12 a.m. made a traffic stop on a person driving on East End Road. Police issued a summons for minor consuming alcohol to a a 20-year-old male passenger.

A caller at 12:25 a.m. reported a downed tree with a bird nest in it on a vacant Main Street lot. Police secured the area because the tree had not fallen all the way down.

A caller at 4:32 a.m. reported a vehicle in the ditch on West Hill Road. Police responded and located the driver and issued a 47-year-old man a summons for failure to report an accident.

A man at 9:02 a.m. reported a dead sea otter on the Spit beach.

A man at 11:43 a.m. reported his car parked on Adams Drive appeared to have been broken into.

A caller at 12:58 p.m. reported a man exposing himself at a Hazel Avenue address. Police responded.

Police at 1:37 p.m. received a “report every dangerous driver immediately” complaint of a driver on East End Road. Police stopped the suspect driver, a 64-year-old man, and arrested him for driving while license suspended.

A person at 2:19 p.m. made a 911 report of a domestic dispute at a Sterling Highway address. Police responded.

A person at 6:12 p.m. made a 911 call reporting concern for a kite surfer off the Spit. Police responded and determined the kite surfer was not in distress and made it to shore safely.

A caller at 11:27 p.m. reported there might be underage drinking going on in the Ocean Drive Loop neighborhood. Police responded and found juveniles on the beach building forts with no alcohol involved.
