A Nikolaevsk man died from injuries in a single-car crash on the North Fork Road last Friday.
Ivola Usoltseff, 59, was pronounced dead at South Peninsula Hospital after being treated and transported there by Anchor Point Emergency Services medics.
According to an Alaska State Trooper press release, Usoltseff had been driving east in a 1995 Toyota truck on the North Fork Road near Coleman Lantern Avenue when he lost control and went into a ditch. The truck rolled before stopping. Troopers said Usoltseff did not wear a seat belt.
Based on evidence at the scene, troopers also believe Usoltseff had been drinking, said trooper spokesperson Elizabeth Ipsen. A blood draw was taken, but toxicology results are not yet done.
He was the only person in the truck.
