Judgments
Heather C. Platter, 31, pleaded guilty to medical assistance fraud. She was fined $1,500 and sentenced to 45 days in jail with 45 days suspended; ordered to pay $50 to support the Police Training Fund and a $100 probation surcharge with $100 suspended; ordered to apply for an Alaska Permanent Fund dividend and pay restitution; ordered not to work as a personal care assistant or have any other relationship with Medicaid; and was placed on probation for three years.
Jeffrey F. Larson, 32, pleaded not guilty to disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and fourth-degree assault. He was found guilty on all three charges by a jury. He was sentenced to 260 days in jail with 190 days suspended; ordered to pay $50 to support the Police Training Fund and a $150 jail surcharge with $100 suspended; ordered to attend an alcohol safety action program and report to The Center for mental health screening and evaluation; and was placed on probation for two years.
Derek Dour, 22, pleaded guilty to sixth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance. He was fined $500 with $250 suspended and sentenced to 20 days in jail with 15 days suspended and ordered to perform 40 hours of community work service; ordered to pay $50 to support the Police Training Fund and a $150 jail surcharge with $100 suspended; and was placed on probation for one year. He also pleaded guilty to resisting arrest and was fined $500 with $500 suspended and sentenced to 90 days in jail with 85 days suspended.
