April 25

A caller at 9:40 a.m. reported an assault on Diamond Creek Place.

A caller at 11:29 a.m. reported the theft of a vehicle on Sterling Highway. The vehicle was returned to the owner.

April 26

A caller at 4:08 p.m. reported a dog bite on Ocean Drive.

A caller at 4:29 p.m. reported identity theft to the police.

April 27

A caller at 5:23 a.m. reported that her neighbor’s animals were in her yard on Jennifer Place. Police contacted animal control.

A caller at 7:54 a.m. reported IRS scams in the Homer area.

A caller at 4:15 p.m. reported a suspicious vehicle parked at a park on Ben Walters Lane for the last two weeks.

A caller at 7:12 p.m. reported an attempted break-in on Main Street. Officers responded to the scene.

A caller at 11:54 p.m. reported an attack and then hung up. Officers responded to the scene and discovered the claim was unfounded.

April 28

A caller at 1:14 p.m. reported finding clothing left on a vacant lot on Ocean Drive.

April 29

A caller at 2:12 a.m. requested a welfare check on an intoxicated pedestrian. Officers took the person to the hospital for medical evaluation and then to the Homer jail for protective custody.

A caller at 9:33 a.m. anonymously reported children building a fort in the roadway at Rogers Loop and Sprucewood Drive, expressing concern for safety. An officer went to the area.

A caller at 11:53 a.m. reported suspicious activity that occurred on Eagleview Drive the previous night.

A caller at 3:39 p.m. reported shoplifting at a business on East Pioneer Avenue after the incident occurred. An officer advised the caller.

Multiple callers at 6:06 p.m. reported a dog hit by a car on Pioneer Avenue and Shelford Street. Police notified animal control.

An 18-year-old man was arrested on an outstanding warrant at 8:26 p.m. at Pioneer Avenue and Shelford Street. 

April 30

A caller at 12:51 a.m. reported a fight outside an East Pioneer Avenue business. Officers went to the area, where they found that the people responsible for the disturbance had been separated. One man was advised by officers not to enter any bars or liquor stores for the rest of the night.

A caller at 5:04 p.m. reported an unattended death at East Bayview Avenue. Officers went to the scene.

A caller at 6:43 p.m. reported suspicious activity at an East Pioneer Avenue business. The responding officer advised two men to move along.

A caller at 8:29 p.m. reported hearing possible gunfire on Pennock Street. Officers found two men and advised them of the fireworks ban.

A caller at 9:30 p.m. reported a suspicious vehicle in a parking lot. The officers found that the person was just using the Internet. 

A caller at 9:50 p.m. reported a moose on mile one of Spit Road. 

A caller at 11:01 p.m. reported a possible loose cow in the Homer area.

May 1

A caller at 12:05 a.m. reported a vehicle with an intoxicated driving coming into the Homer area on the bypass. Officers arrested a 30-year-old man for driving while intoxicated with alcohol.

A caller at 9:57 a.m. reported a theft from their vehicle on East Bayview Avenue.

A 26-year-old woman was arrested on a warrant at 12:23 p.m. on Sterling Highway.

A caller at 12:49 p.m. reported the theft of a bicycle from West Bunnell Avenue.

A caller at 2:41 reported vandalism and theft from their yard on Ocean Drive Loop.

Officers responded to a call from an alarm company at a business on Ohlson Lane at 4:02 p.m. Officers arrived and found that it was a false alarm.

May 2

A caller at 5:39 a.m. reported an unknown person threw a rock through a vehicle window on Forest Glen Drive. Officers arrived and told the caller that there will be extra patrols of the area.
