The Christian Science Society holds a Thanksgiving service at 10 a.m. Nov. 24 at its reading room, 3774 Bartlett Street. Dr. Ross Tanner, specialist at South Peninsula Hospital and founder of the Diabetes and Lipid Clinic of Alaska, presents a free forum, “Know Your Numbers,” at 6:30 p.m. today at the Kachemak Bay Campus. The forum focuses on what your blood test results mean for your health. Participants are invited to bring their health fair lab results to the event to get their questions answered. Tanner is a board-certified lipidologist trained to treat cholesterol problems in order to prevent heart attacks and stroke.
