Jerry Scholes, a longtime Homer resident, died July 14, 2014. “He joined his parents and his beloved wife and dance partner, Mary, in Heaven,” his family said.

A memorial service is at 1 p.m. Oct. 19, 2014, at Grace Bible Church (Kachemak Community Center) at the corner of East End Road and Bear Creek Drive.

“In lieu of flowers, a contribution to your favorite charity in Jerry’s honor is a wonderful way to commemorate his life,” his family said.
