Foundation celebrates milestone
The Homer Foundation held its 25th Anniversary Celebration Saturday, July 16. Thanks to our gracious and generous hosts Bill and Dorothy Fry and their terrific staff at the Bear Creek Winery. The setting was most lovely and guests were able to sample a variety of the winery’s offerings and champagne donated by the Grog Shop.
Catriona Reynolds from the Homer Cycling Club was also on hand with their human-powered blender bike to whip up fresh fruit smoothies and highlight their Share the Road campaign. The event came off flawlessly thanks to Homer Foundation board members and dedicated volunteers, most especially Jill Berryman, Stuart Schmutzler, William Henley, and Team Schneider.
On the top of the list of the many things the Homer Foundation had to celebrate was the milestone, 25 years old with $2.5 million distributed to help make our communities stronger, healthier, more vital places to live, work and play.
Here’s to the last 25 years of community philanthropy, we are looking forward to serving our communities for the next 25 years, and beyond!
