George R. (Pilgrim) Farmer

Longtime Anchor Point resident George R. (Pilgrim) Farmer, 70, died Jan. 19, 2016, of cancer. Services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016, at the VFW in Anchor Point. For more information, call Karen, 235-5253.

He is survived by his brother, Don, and niece, Amy, and many cousins and friends.

He lived in Anchor Point since 1979 with a few sojourns to Fairbanks, Wasilla and Talkeetna. 

He was born in Oregon on Oct. 20, 1945, and was raised in Nevada and Idaho. From 1963-1966, he received the rank of sergeant in the U.S. Air Force. He lived and worked in Florence, Ore., between 1970 and 1979.
