A caller at  3:06 p.m. reported a man changing the oil on a black Dodge pickup truck on Bishop’s Beach. The oil was collected in a tub.

April 23

A caller at 2:17 a.m. reported hearing a verbal dispute in the Bartlett Street area. Police responded and both parties agreed to return home. Police issued a disorderly conduct warning.

A caller at 9:08 a.m. reported a break-in and possible theft at a Pioneer Avenue business.

A caller at 1:11 p.m. reported orange-red lights hovering and moving over Beluga Lake.

A school official at 2:27 p.m. made a 911 call for help with an unruly student at Homer High School. Police responded and provided transportation home for the student.

A city official at 2:45 p.m. reported peonies and other plants stolen from the city beds at the Baycrest Hill lookout. The case is under investigation.

An Alaska State Trooper dispatcher at 5:12 p.m. asked police to do a welfare check on an officer on the Spit. Police notified the harbor officer.

April 24

A caller at 12:45 p.m. reported a person at a Hillside Place address was naked and visible through a window talking to children.

A caller at 5:34 p.m. reported a wanted subject might be at an Aurora Court residence. Police responded and arrested a 24-year-old woman on a warrant for failure to appear in court and possession of methamphetamines.

A caller at 6:32 p.m. reported an injured moose in the East End and McLay Road area. Police notified the Alaska Department of Fish and Game.

April 25

A caller at 9:45 a.m. reported a man passed out in a car parked at the end of Main Street near Bishop’s Beach. Police responded and arrested a 51-year-old man for fourth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance, meth.

A person at 3:39 p.m. reported finding suspicious remains on East Bunnell Avenue. Police responded and determined the remains were from an animal.

A woman at 5:26 p.m. made a 911 call asking police to do a welfare check on a child walking on East End Road without shoes and improperly dressed for the weather. Police could not locate the child.

Police at 7:26 p.m. contacted people in parked cars at the corner of West Hill Road and the Sterling Highway. Police arrested a 19-year-old man on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear in court.

April 26

A caller at 12:31 a.m. asked for help in removing a guest from a Pioneer Avenue hotel. Police responded.

A woman at 2:02 a.m. reported an unknown man sat in her car parked in her Kachemak Way driveway and refused to leave. Police responded but the man was gone when they arrived.

A caller at 5:16 p.m. reported juveniles vandalized a Lake Street building. Police responded and contacted the juveniles’ parents.

A caller at 9:45 p.m. reported a drunk man walked in the road on Skyline Drive. Police took a 54-year-old man into protective custody.

April 27

A trooper dispatcher at 3:58 a.m. asked police to patrol an area near Mile 5 East End Road where a drunk woman had been dropped off earlier by a taxi cab driver. Troopers and the woman’s friend had been unable to contact the woman by cell phone. Police responded but could not find her.

A caller on 2:16 p.m. reported a drunk driver on Rogers Loop Road. Police pulled over the suspect and arrested a 45-year-old man for driving under the influence.

A caller at 8:30 p.m. reported a man in a Pioneer Avenue parking lot harassing customers. Police responded and the man agreed to move from the lot.

Police at 9:19 a.m. contacted a 53-year-old man and arrested him on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear in court.

A man at 10:22 a.m. reported a permanent tent set up near Karen Hornaday Park.

A man at 11:50 a.m. reported losing a phone in the harbor.

A person at 10:38 a.m. made a 911 call of a drunk driver heading south on the Sterling Highway.

A man at 10:30 a.m. reported losing a wallet left on the roof of his truck while driving on Main Street. The caller later reported a person found the wallet and returned it.

A woman at 11:58 a.m. reported her mother kicked her out of her house after an argument.

A man at noon asked police for guidelines on removing items and cars left on his private property.

 A man at 12:20 p.m. reported a check cashed fraudulently.

A school nurse at 9:54 a.m. reported a boy had been bitten by a dog four days earlier.
