Pet of the Week

Animals suffer PTSD just as humans do. Sweet little Iris experienced some unknown trauma which has left her very skittish and shy. She is in recovery now and is making slow progress. Iris responds well to quiet and gentle interactions with people. She just needs someone who can take her home and help her recover. She’ll need a quiet, stable home with patient people who help her become the loving, trusting cat she wants to be.

To adopt a pet, call or stop by the animal shelter across from the city’s Public Works Department off the Sterling Highway. The shelter is open from noon-5 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday. For more information, call 235-3141.
