On behalf of HoWL, I would like to thank the Homer Foundation’s Youth Advisory Committee for funding HoWL’s purchase of two stand-up paddle (SUP) boards. 

HoWL has partnered with Surf Alaska, the North Face Explore Fund and Ashore Water Taxi for the past three years to incorporate SUPing into our programs.  

We are thrilled to add Homer’s Youth Advisory Committee to this team of organizations and businesses promoting play in Kachemak Bay waters. 

HoWL embarked on more than 10 paddle boarding trips this summer and more than 150 local youth SUPed with HoWL in 2014. It’s thanks to YAC that HoWL can continue to ply the waters and go deeper into the wilderness of Kachemak Bay.
