Scholarships
• American Legion Auxiliary scholarships are available for any high school seniors: American Legion Richard D. Johnson, $1,000, due March 30; American Legion Auxiliary Unit 16, $500, due April 10.
The following is available for Legion family members only: Merrilyn Stock Scholarship for continuing students, $500-$1,000, due March 30.
Scholarship requirements include grade point averages of 2.0 to 4.0. Pick up applications at high school counselors’ offices; Kachemak Bay Campus, Kenai Peninsula College-University of Alaska Anchorage; Connections; or American Legion Post 16 in Homer. • Kenai Borough Employees Association scholarship committee is accepting applications for four scholarships of $500 each. The scholarships are available to all 2015 graduates of the Kenai Peninsula Borough, including public, private and home schools. Applications and instructions are available from any Kenai Peninsula Borough high shcool counselors’ office or the borough’s website, borough.kenai.ak.us. Applications must be delivered or postmarked by March 27. Applications can be mailed or dropped off at the Kenai Peninsula Borough, KBEA Scholarship Committee, 144 N. Binkley St., Soldotna, AK 99669.
