I would like to give an honored and blessed thank you to the Kachemak Bay Rotary Club. I graduated from our beloved Homer High School this spring and was one of the recipients of the Kachemak Bay Rotary Club Scholarship. I’d like to take this moment to thank everyone who considered me for this scholarship. Thank you for your investment in the youth of Homer and in my future. You are making my goals a reality; I am beyond grateful.

This fall I am attending the University of Alaska Anchorage and plan to pursue a career in nursing. I was born with a cleft lip and palate and have spent many hours in Providence Hospital in Anchorage. My hope is to give back. It is my passion to give the opportunities that I had to others in need across the globe. Given my current financial situation, this scholarship gives me such an immense boost.

Again, thank you, Kachemak Bay Rotary Club, for helping me fulfill my dreams. Being awarded this scholarship is an immense boost.
