The Friday Night Fives began last Friday, with more than a dozen walkers and runners, and a few canine companions, braving the chilly evening temperatures and a few muddy spots along the 5K course.

Throughout April, the Kachemak Bay Running Club sponsors the outing, a 5K fun run or walk through town. It begins at 5:30 p.m. The start and finish is Two Sisters Bakery, 233 E. Bunnell Ave. 

All ages and levels of runners and walkers are invited to this non-competitive event.
