Nov. 19

Alaska State Troopers at 10:06 a.m. went to a single-car rollover at Mile 130.5 Sterling Highway. Troopers said a 55-year-old Ninilchik woman driving north in a Mazda MPV lost control when she hit a patch of black ice, rolling her car in the northbound ditch. She wore her seatbelt. Ninilchik EMS responded and transported her to Central Peninsula Hospital for minor injuries.

Troopers at 12:13 p.m. went to a single-car rollover near Mile 122.5 Sterling Highway in Ninilchik. Troopers said a 54-year-old Ninilchik man driving south in a Dodge pickup truck lost control when the truck hit black ice. The truck rolled into the northbound ditch. Everyone in the truck wore seatbelts. Ninilchik EMS responded and transported all involved to Central Peninsula Hospital for minor injuries. 

Nov. 20

Alaska State Troopers at 12:20 a.m. went to a car-moose collision at Mile 117 Sterling Highway near Clam Gulch. The crash did not injure the 26-year-old Homer man driving the car and a 22-year-old woman passenger, both from Homer. Both wore seatbelts. The moose was still alive when troopers arrived and it had to be euthanized because of its injuries.
