Alaska State Troopers at 7:07 p.m. made a traffic stop for speeding on the driver of a Ford pickup truck near Mile 82 Sterling Highway in Sterling. Troopers said a 34-year-old Anchor Point woman in the truck had an outstanding warrant for her arrest for failure to comply with conditions of parole. Troopers arrested the woman and took her to Wildwood Pretrial Facility in Kenai.
Dec. 23
Troopers went to a single-car rollover near Mile 131 Sterling Highway in Ninilchik. Troopers said a 28-year-old Homer woman driving south lost control of her Subaru Impreza when she missed a corner, causing the car to roll. Ninilchik Emergency Medical Services responded and took the woman to South Peninsula Hospital with possible serious injuries. The woman wore her seat belt and airbags deployed.

Troopers at 9:34 p.m. stopped the driver of a purple Ski-Doo snow machine near Mile 158 Sterling Highway after the driver was seen operating it on the highway. Following an investigation, troopers arrested the driver, a 22-year-old Anchor Point man, for driving under the influence.
Dec. 26
Troopers at 3:52 p.m. went to a report of a two-car collision on the Sterling Highway near Diamond Ridge Road. Troopers said a 17-year-old Anchor Point boy lost control of his Jeep and hit the back of a 52-year-old Kasilof man’s Chevrolet van. Troopers cited the boy for negligent driving.
