Sept. 10
Alaska State Troopers at 6:14 p.m. tried to stop the driver of a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado on the Sterling Highway in Anchor Point near the North Fork Road after receiving a “report every dangerous driver immediately” complaint. The caller said the driver crossed the center line and drove erratically. Troopers signaled the driver to stop, but the driver kept heading north and eventually stopped near Augusta Lane. Troopers identified the driver as a 39-year-old Homer woman and arrested her for driving under the influence and driving while license suspended. When troopers said the woman refused a breath test, troopers also charged her with refusal to submit to a chemical test. Troopers said the woman had multiple DUI convictions within the past 10 years, thus making the DUI and refusal to submit charges both felonies.
Sept. 12
Troopers at 4:54 p.m. received a report that a blue 1984 Dodge 1500, Alaska license plate DLE 478, had been stolen from a Ninilchik home. Troopers ask anyone with information on the theft to call them at 235-8239.
Sept. 13
Troopers at 4:37 p.m. made a traffic stop on a driver of a 1992 Toyota Camry for speeding on Pioneer Avenue. Troopers contacted the driver, a 16-year-old Anchor Point boy, and said he operated the car without a license. Troopers issued him a citation for not having a driver’s license. Troopers said the boy and three passengers also did not wear seat belts and they were cited for not wearing seatbelts.
Troopers at 7:43 p.m. stopped for speeding the driver of a 1996 Pontiac Grand Am near Mile 155 Sterling Highway. Troopers identified the driver as a 26-year-old Palmer man and arrested him for DUI, drugs and alcohol.
