* Anticipating a 12 percent one-year enrollment growth at Paul Banks Elementary School, the Kenai Peninsula Borough School District board ponders additions to the facility.


* Schools Superintendent Fred Pomeroy suggests seeking a direct appropriation from the Legislature to fund 100 percent of the cost of the extra 37,000 square feet planned for a new high school in Homer.
