The Homer Women's hockey team played the Alaska Ambush last Friday for the fourth and final game of the season. The Homer team managed to win the game by one goal for a final score of 2-1. The game-winning goal was scored by Judy Dean. Both goalies played a great game with Michelle Hatton blocking 20 shots and Lydia Brown blocking 65.

The adult co-ed league played its Fall Championship Golden Puck Tournament last Saturday night. The four teams were T&J, White Thrash, Black Holes and Green Eggs and Slam. After the first round of games, Teams T&J and The Black Holes made it to the Winner's Bracket.

The championship game was a close one — with each team scoring two points. The game went into overtime, with a shootout. Three players from each team were chosen. For team T&J players were Kris Holderied, Dean Kildow and Shelly Laukitis. For the Black Holes, the shooters were Karen Weston, Josh Weston and Sue Rennolds.

Team T&J scored first with Kris Holderied backhanding a top shelf shot. Karen Weston shot for the Black Holes but was blocked by Michelle Hatton. Dean Kildow and Josh Weston both scored for their respective teams.

Shelly Laukitis won the game for T&J with a deke to the goalie.
