Dec. 12

Police at 10 a.m. documented complaints made by Ruth Way residents on Dec. 9 of vicious dogs in the area.

A woman at 11:20 a.m. reported a hit-and-run crash at the high school.

A man at 11:58 a.m. reported someone damaged his mail box on Bayview Court.

A woman at 8:50 p.m. turned in a flag blown off a flagpole.

A person at 9:09 p.m. made a 911 call reporting sexually explicit comments made by a man to a group of underage girls at a Homer Spit business. Police could not locate the suspect.

A South Peninsula Hospital security guard at 10:59 p.m. reported a drunk man drove away from the hospital.

Dec. 13

Police at 12:14 a.m. issued a summons to a 37-year-old man for driving while license suspended.

A man at 8:09 p.m. reported someone stole two marine batteries from his charter boat in the Homer Harbor.

A woman at 10:21 p.m. reported a tussle between two drunk people at a Pioneer Avenue bar. The people were gone when police arrived.

Dec. 14

A man at 12:50 a.m. reported two men in the Ohlson Lane area he suspected might have stolen a bicycle.

Police at 2:33 a.m. arrested a 52-year-old man on an outstanding warrant.

Police at 8:38 a.m. saw a road grader with no rear lights on being driven near Mile 171.5 Sterling Highway. Police notified city, borough and state public works departments.

A woman at 3:41 p.m. turned in a leopard-skin print clutch purse she found on Pioneer Avenue.

A woman at 3:58 p.m. reported being threatened by an ex-boyfriend and asked police for advice.

A man at 4:32 p.m. made a 911 call from a Ternview Avenue address and then hung up. When police called back, they heard screaming in the background. Police responded.

A man at 5:22 p.m. reported locks had been damaged at a Main Street business.

A caller at 8:27 p.m. reported his wallet was taken in the high school locker room.

Dec. 15

A man at 2:54 a.m. reported a suspicious vehicle with doors and windows open parked on Lake Street. Police contacted the owner who said the car is broken and he is trying to move it.

A person at 2:53 a.m. made a 911 call from a Pennock Street address. Police heard a woman screaming. Police responded and a woman was taken to the hospital. A male suspect was gone on arrival.

Police at 12:30 p.m. served a restraining order on a person at the police station.

A caller at 2:41 p.m. reported a woman fell off her bicycle near Mile 2 Kachemak Drive. Police could not locate the woman.

Dec. 16

A man at 5:52 p.m. reported an altercation between an employee and a customer at a Ben Walters Lane business. The customer came in and started yelling and throwing things, the man said. Police responded but the suspect had left.

A woman at 6:31 p.m. made a 911 call of a dispute at a Svedlund Street homer. Police responded.

Dec. 17

Police at 12:54 a.m. contacted a 19-year-old man driving near Mile 5 East End Road. They arrested him for driving while license revoked and minor consuming alcohol and operating a vehicle after consuming.

A woman at 12:37 p.m. reported a bicyclist riding in her lane of traffic on East End Road, causing a traffic hazard and backing up traffic.

A woman at 8:21 p.m. reported someone took medication from her purse while she was at a Pioneer Avenue business.

A hospital employee at 9:18 p.m. reported a patient left the hospital against medical advice.

A person at 11:01 p.m. made a 911 call of hitting a moose on East End Road.

Dec. 18

A caller at 3:40 p.m. asked police to remove a person at a Main Street apartment complex from a client's apartment.

Police at 10:22 p.m. helped two very drunk people get to their hotel room safely.
