For the Homer News

How do a gypsy, a best friend and a masked ball contribute to the death of the Earl of Warwick? The answer is in the opera "Un Ballo in Maschera."

In addition to the masked ball in the opera, we will have our version of a masked ball. Wear a mask to the opera and be able to win one of these categories: "Best of Show," "Most Humorous," "Most Elegant," and "Opera Best" (depicts "Um Bello in Maschera" best.)

Judging will be held during intermission. "Opera Elixir" and finger delectables will be available during the opera.

We now have complimentary tickets for those 18 years or younger. Gift certificates for your opera wannabes or your favorite opera lovers are available through the opera committee. Call 235-0695.

Showtime is at 6 p.m. Dec. 27t at the Homer Theatre.

Vonda Nixon, an opera lover, moved to Homer two years ago and was delighted to find opera at the Homer Theatre.
