Holiday tree lifts spirits; now, can Santa lower gas prices?

We got our snow for the holidays. Anchor Point's holiday tree is lit up and looks great. Thanks to everyone who makes this happen. It brings spirits up when passing by.

Our gas prices seem to be holding tight over the holidays. It's funny to read national news and get to the part about gas prices going down. I think they forget about all of us way up north. Just a little something Santa can give us all: lower gas prices. Yep, it's on my wish list.

The sunshine at the beginning of this week was a true treat. I hope to see more of it our days filled with plenty of sunshine and the nights filled with the holiday lights. What beauty!

Have a great weekend and be safe.

Monday brought us National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day. Such sacrifices and such loss. We have to remember these people that died; more than 2,000 servicemen and civilians died on that particular day. It was a shock to the world and it changed our country forever. It's a day that will never be forgotten, a day to honor those who fought for our freedoms.
