Share the success

The Homer High School choir entertains Share the Spirit diners during the spaghetti feed on Tuesday at the Homer Elks Lodge.

Share the Spirit's annual spaghetti feed sold at least 800 meals on Tuesday, including about 350 take out meals delivered by volunteers from local real estate agencies.

"They were just phenomenal," said coordinator Fran McCampbell of the Realtor drivers. "It was just really successful: Great weather, great day, great turn out, great volunteers."

With assistant Julie Parizek, McCampbell begins planning the event in October. As an added bonus, more than 700 raffle tickets sold out this year. The spaghetti feed benefits Share the Spirit, Homer's homegrown charity that helps needy families over the holidays.
