Alaska State Troopers at 11:11 a.m. went to an East End Road home for a disturbance. Troopers allege a 55-year-old man hit another man in the head with a broom stick and damaged his property. The injured man was taken to South Peninsula Hospital for treatment. The 55-year-old man fled on foot. Troopers have requested an arrest warrant for the man on charges of third-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal mischief.

Troopers at 10:43 p.m. went to a Happy Valley home for a report of a 56-year-old man unresponsive and not breathing. Troopers performed CPR until Ninilchik EMTs arrived. The man was pronounced dead at 11:38 p.m. No foul play was suspected. The state medical examiner was notified and the man's body released to a funeral home. Next of kin was on scene.
