Another Homer reaches out
My name is Jackie Remer, and I am from Homer, Neb. My husband and I made our first trip to Alaska this summer and visited your city, which we enjoyed very much. I am involved in several women's groups and volunteer with school age children. After visiting with my friends about Homer, Alaska, we wondered if you have a women's group that would like to form sister cities or children who would like to become pen pals.

Our Homer is a very small village about 100 miles north of Omaha. Our population is 550. We have one school that is both elementary and high school with open enrollment of around 400 students. We have three churches and several businesses.
