Applause to city staff
Cook Inletkeeper would like to applaud the City of Homer's water and wastewater treatment plant staff, especially Joe Young and Todd Cook, for their awards as Water Operator of the Year and for the Wastewater System of the Year at the recent Alaska Rural Water Association meeting. We appreciate all of the work that Todd and his staff do to improve and maintain these critical systems that facilitate water and sewer in Homer, and we have been impressed by their dedication and continued efforts. We are lucky in Homer to have city staff that are educated and engaged, and we congratulate them on receiving these well-deserved awards. Many thanks to Todd for always being available to answer questions, give tours and discuss ideas about improving local services, water quality and wastewater management.
