Seldovia's Susan B. English School volleyball team maintained its undefeated status, improving to 20-0 on the season after sweeping to a round-robin tournament victory at home last weekend.
The Sea Otters kicked the rally scoring tournament off with a 25-15, 25-17, 25-18 win over Unalaska on Friday. They followed up by beating Kenny Lake 25-19, 25-9, 25-8. On Saturday, Seldovia won 25-13, 25-13, 25-10 over Nikolaevsk.
The Sea Otters have only lost two games all season, according to coach Ila Dillon.
"It's a little scary," she added. "You just never know. I want the girls to keep working hard and not let the wins get in their head."
Homer hockey scores win
The Homer High School hockey team capitalized on a pair of goals from Scott Owen en route to a 5-1 win over the Skyview junior varsity.
The Mariners also got goals from Wes Busby, Terry Shroyer and Nate Miller. Bryan Smith got the win in goal.
Rope-tow installation on tap
The Kachemak Ski Club plans to install its new rope tow on Ohlson Mountain, with work beginning at 10 a.m. The club will also be holding a general meeting at 7 p.m. Dec. 2 at the Kachemak City Community Center.
