DDF team gets high marks



STAFF REPORT

Competing in the Eagle River High Drama, Debate and Forensics tournament last weekend, Homer High students scored high in competition against Chugiak, Dimond, Eagle River, East, Lumen Christi, Service, South and West.

• Overall Sweepstakes: Homer High, first;

• Drama and Speech Sweepstakes: Homer High, first;

• Debate Sweepstakes: Homer High, third;

• Lincoln-Douglas Debate: Adi Davis, fifth in speaker points, quarter-finalist;

• Public Forum Debate: Casey Parrett, sixth in speaker points; Casey Parrett and Adella Sundmark, semi-finalist;

• Expository Speaking: Jonas Noomah, second place; Neal Wimmerstedt, sixth;

• Original Oratory: Jacob Mayforth, first;

• Foreign Extemporaneous Speaking: Trevor Waldorf, first; Adi Davis, third;

• Dramatic Interpretation: Casey Parrett, second; Adella Sundmark, fifth;

• Humorous Interpretation: Theo Noomah, first; Johnny Hamilton, second; Emmet Meyer, third;

• Solo Acting: Drew Turner, third;

• Duo Interpretation: Jonas Noomah and Evan Boyer, second;

• Duet Acting: Adi Davis and Sydney Paulino, first; Jacob Mayforth and Herman Hannan, second; Owen Duffy and Neal Wimmerstedt, third;
