Ninilchik gets into holiday season

The Kenai Peninsula State Fairgrounds in Ninilchik is homebase for multiple events and fundraisers this holiday season:

• Nov. 17: Craft bazaar, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Tables are available for rent, $20 each or two for $30. Table registration can be done online at www.kenaipeninsulafair.com or call (907) 567-3670.

• Nov. 17: Kenai Peninsula Fair Fundraiser, 7-9 p.m. The evening event features music by the "Alaska's Got Talent" winner, Emerald Poland of Soldotna. Beer, wine and hors d'oeuvres will be available. Tickets are a$25 each and can be purchased at the fairgrounds or online.

• Nov. 23-Jan. 1: Community Christmas Village. Families, individuals, businesses, organizations are invited to pick a building or open space around the fairgrounds and decorate it for the holiday season. There are nine small buildings, the outside of Carol Bock Hall and lots of open space. A trophy will be awarded for the people's choice for best decorations.
