Skiers appreciate Homer's support

We have seen the first dusting of snow and the Kachemak Nordic Ski Club is gearing up for skiing. Grooming at McNeil School and Eveline State Recreation Site will be much easier this winter thanks to a $14,000 grant from the Rasmuson Foundation and more than $6,000 in contributions from local businesses.

The KNSC was able to build a 16-by-24-foot garage to store snowmachines and other grooming equipment. It is ready for use this winter. Special thanks goes out to Jeff Middleton Construction, Spenard Builders Supply, Professional Drywall, Puffin Electric, Lakeshore Glass, Kachemak Auto Parts (NAPA), Kachemak Emergency Services and all the volunteer construction crew including many in the building profession.

Homer skiers appreciate support from the business community. Thank you, Homer.
