Seven boys and four girls are wanting an older person to mentor them, have fun with them, take them on outings, give them sage bits of advice about growing up.
Anyone who is in high school or beyond and has just a little bit of extra time, as little as a few hours a month, can become a Big Brother or Big Sister. It doesn't cost anything but your caring about another young human being who wants mentoring. Matches are made by the Big Brothers Big Sisters staff, whether you are a musician or an artist, a hunter or an avid sports aficionado, there is a Little you can help to grow up to be the special person they are. You can be matched with a Little in a school setting or the community based setting.
All you need to do is call Susan Kirn at 235-8397. If you are curious and would like to attend our annual luncheon on Nov. 17, please give her a call. It takes every one of us to make Homer the special place it is.
Thanks for reading.
