Oct. 28

Alaska Bureau of Highway Patrol troopers at 11:31 p.m. stopped a car near Mile 7 East End Road for an equipment violation. Troopers cited the 17-year-old male driver and a 16-year-old female passenger for minor consuming alcohol. The boy also was cited for minor operating a vehicle after consuming alcohol. The children were released to their parents.

Highway Patrol troopers at 3:38 p.m. stopped a 27-year-old Homer man for a traffic violation near Mile 140 Sterling Highway in Happy Valley. Troopers cited the man for sixth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance, marijuana.

Oct. 29

Bureau of Highway Patrol troopers at 1:10 a.m. made a traffic stop on the driver of a car near Mile 3 East End Road. Troopers cited a 20-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman, both of Homer, for minor consuming alcohol. Troopers arrested the man for habitual MCA, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and fourth-degree assault on a law enforcement officer.

Highway Patrol troopers at 4:58 a.m. made a traffic stop on a 33-year-old Homer man driving near Mile 167 Sterling Highway. Troopers cited the man for sixth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance, marijuana.

Troopers at 7:10 p.m. made a traffic stop on a 30-year-old Anchor Point man in Anchor Point. Troopers cited him for driving while license suspended.

Alaska State Troopers at 7:56 p.m. stopped a 39-year-old Anchor Point man for driving an ATV in the road in Anchor Point. Troopers arrested the man for driving under the influence and driving while license suspended.

Nov. 1

Troopers at 5:40 p.m. contacted a 74-year-old Ninilchik man driving in Ninilchik and issued him a summons for driving while license suspended.

Troopers at 6:30 p.m. tried to stop a 55-year-old Kasilof man in Ninilchik. Troopers allege the man failed to stop, driving at excessive speeds and crossing the center line. Troopers stopped him after a short pursuit. Troopers allege the man assaulted a trooper while being arrested. Troopers also alleged finding marijuana. The man was charged with felony eluding a police officer, reckless driving, assault on a police officer, disorderly conduct and sixth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance.

Nov. 2

Alaska Wildlife Troopers arrested a 31-year-old Homer man in Dutch Harbor on a $5,000 Valdez Police Department warrant for failure to appear in court on arraignment for a burglary charge.

Troopers at 2 a.m. went to the Anchor Point campground for a report of a disturbance. Troopers allege a 36-year-old Anchor Point woman assaulted a man with a knife, damaged the man's home and prevented him from calling 911. Troopers arrested the woman for third-degree assault, domestic violence, fourth-degree criminal mischief and interfering with a report of domestic violence.

Nov. 3

Troopers at 4:19 p.m. went to a single-car crash on the North Fork Road near Cave Avenue. Troopers allege a 26-year-old Anchor Point man lost control of his 2000 International flat bed truck on snowy roads. The driver and his passenger, a 23-year-old Anchor Point man, did not wear seat belts. The driver was taken to South Peninsula Hospital with minor injuries and cited for speeding. Both men were cited for not wearing seat belts.

Troopers at 6:54 p.m. went to a 911 hang-up call at an Anchor Point home. Troopers allege a 24-year-old man got in a disturbance with another person, causing more than $1,000 in damage to the other person's property. Troopers arrested the man for third-degree criminal mischief.

Nov. 4

Troopers at 1:20 p.m. made a traffic stop and contacted a 33-year-old Anchor Point man and a 33-year-old Anchor Point woman. Troopers arrested the man on an outstanding warrant for violating conditions of his felony probation. Troopers had contacted the woman numerous times because the man lived at her property. They allege the woman helped delay arresting the man. She was issued a summons for second-degree hindering prosecution.

Nov. 5

Troopers at 6:22 p.m. made a traffic stop on a 44-year-old Homer man driving in Homer and arrested him for DUI.
