From noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday an informational meeting on getting an education degree is held.
At 6:30 p.m. Nov. 21, Cathy Stingley, Clinical Director for HANDLE of Homer, presents "Why the Label Attention Deficit is Incorrect." The talk will provide a different perspective on attentional issues experienced by children and adults. Consideration will be given to what it is that happens when someone is not attending or seems to not be attending. Could it be that some people cannot look and listen at the same time? Could it be that some people who appear to not be listening are indeed hearing us and processing that information?
Registration for winter semester classes begins Nov. 14 for degree-seeking students and Nov. 21 for the general public. For more information: www.homer.alaska.edu or 235-7743.
The KBC Community Advisory Board has openings; call 235-1656 for information.
