The U.S. Coast Guard holds its third annual "Adopt-a-Family Fund-raiser." Crews from the Sedge and Roanoke Island deliver a truckload of split wood for $75, with proceeds going to help two families with food and presents for the holidays. To purchase wood, call the Sedge at 235-5233 or the Roanoke Island at 235-5336.

KBBI has three seats open on its board of directors. Each seat is for a three-year term. To qualify, candidates must be a paid member by Saturday. Interested persons should submit a brief biography to KBBI by Monday. Call 235-7721.

Homer Senior Citizens Inc. announces its participation in the USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program administered by the Alaska Department of Education and Early Development. Meals will be made available to enrolled clients at no separate charge without regard to race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability.

The Three Wishes Program makes available power wheelchairs to qualified seniors 65 and older and to the permanently disabled. Call (800) 451-0971.
