KHLT benefit a success
Great food, good company and lots of laughter set the stage for a very successful benefit dinner for Kachemak Heritage Land Trust at the Homestead Restaurant. I want to extend a great big thanks to Lisa and Steve Nolan of the Homestead Restaurant for their generosity in hosting the event, and for the delightful food, wine and atmosphere.

And thank you also to Gary Thomas for contributing his outstanding auctioneering talent to help raise funds toward the purchase of Poopdeck Platt Park in the heart of Homer.

The Homer Town Square Project is continuing with strong momentum and enjoys popular support from our community, as was once again demonstrated at the benefit. Thanks to all the businesses and artists who donated items for the evening's auction, and thanks to all the participants who attended and made generous contributions toward our effort to purchase public park and open space in downtown Homer. Those contributions will go a long way in enhancing the quality of life for all of us who live, work and play in Homer.
