A man at 11:01 a.m. reported a hit-and-run crash on the Sterling Highway.

A woman at 1:25 p.m. reported an unrestrained child in a car being driven on the Sterling Highway.

A man at 3:12 p.m. reported a sea otter in the road on Kachemak Drive near the Homer Spit Road. Police notified the Alaska SeaLife Center.

Oct. 18

A caller at 1:58 a.m. reported an altercation at a Pioneer Avenue address. Police responded.

A woman at 11:20 a.m. made a 911 call of a man on a skateboard who fell. Police responded and found the man was not injured.

Police at 1 p.m. and 3:27 p.m. assisted people in retrieving property from a Pioneer Avenue address.

A man at 3:11 p.m. reported a man jumped in front of his moving car.

A man at 1:11 p.m. reported Public Works equipment blocking his Bunnell Avenue driveway. Police notified Public Works.

A woman at 2:03 p.m. reported an allegedly unlicensed itinerant merchant selling meat from a truck on Kachemak Drive.

Police at 7:30 p.m. contacted a man driving on the Spit and issued him a summons for not having insurance.

Oct. 19

A hospital worker at 4:09 a.m. reported a patient with possible domestic violence injuries.

A 911 caller at 7:45 a.m. reported domestic violence. An individual was arrested for assault and taken to the Homer Jail.

A caller at 10:38 a.m. requested options regarding an individuals behavior in a general elections building.

A caller at 12:12 p.m. requested removal of a vehicle parked on a public street.

A Report Every Drunk Driver Immediately caller at 1:14 p.m. reported a vehicle traveling northbound on the Sterling Highway. Alaska State Troopers were notified.

A driver at 1:59 p.m. was warned for speeding.

A caller at 5:31 p.m. reported a passenger in a vehicle littering.

A driver at 10:45 p.m. was issued a summons for no insurance.

Oct. 20

A driver at 3:04 a.m. was arrested for driving under the influence.

Alaska State Troopers at 11:59 a.m. requested assistance with a loose dog.

A caller at 2:47 p.m. reported an abandoned vehicle in the roadway.

A caller at 2:05 p.m. advised the Homer Police Department of a controlled operation producing steam on the Homer Spit.

A 911 caller at 4:26 p.m. reported individuals at residence without permission of the owner. Individuals were told to leave.

A caller at 12:22 a.m. reported neighbors music was too loud.

A caller at 2:35 a.m. reported a juvenile son had left the residence in the middle of the night.

A caller at 8:30 a.m. reported receiving voicemail from an unknown male stating suicidal threats.

A caller at 10 a.m. requested patrol of the Herndon Drive and Svedlund Street area due to speeding.

A caller at 12:01 p.m. reported a pedestrian yelling and gesturing at vehicles on the roadway.

A caller at 3:05 p.m. reported information received about the possible abuse of a juvenile in the parking lot of local business.
