Vote 'yes' for education
Hopefully, Alaskans will vote "yes" on Nov. 5 for Proposition C, which will provide facilities for schools and university campuses statewide. The bond is especially important for Homer and the Kachemak Bay Campus of the University of Alaska Anchorage, as it will provide $3 million to remodel, resulting in badly needed additional classrooms.
Passage will ease the strain on the already shrinking Constitutional Budget Reserve and the bond reimbursement provisions may actually result in a reduction of taxes in the organized boroughs. Proposition C will provide jobs for Alaskans and enable Alaskans to come together and help each other statewide.
Please vote "yes" on Proposition C and say yes to education in Alaska.
