Todd Snider returns to Homer

Fan favorite and frequent visitor to Homer, singer-songwriter Todd Snider returns with another concert bound to be legendary. He performs today at 7 p.m. at the Down East Saloon. A nonsmoking show, tickets are $28 at the Homer Bookstore, the Down East Saloon and Inticketing.com. The show is a benefit for Cook InletKeeper. Spin Magazine has called him "One of roots music's slyest, smartest songwriters." After the release of his Peace Queer album, Blender said Snider "morphed from a wisecracking country-ish journeyman to the sharpest and funniest protest singer working today." His album "Live: The Storyteller" was released this year.
